1 GENERAL QUESTIONS

 

1.1 What is Orderfood.com.cy?
Orderfood.com.cy is a new interactive website that provides you with an easy way to order food from several restaurants all over Cyprus. You can use this website to communicate with the restaurants to order food for delivery, for take away or to book a table.

 

1.2 What services are offered by Orderfood.com.cy?
Through orderfood.com.cy you can place an order for delivery, pickup or to book a table.


1.3 Do all the restaurants offer pickup, delivery and booking?
No. Restaurants found on our site may offer one, two or all three services. We make it easy for you to find the restaurant of your choice through our two search options we have on our home page.


2 MEMBERSHIP

 

2.1 Do I need to register to use the services offered by Orderfood.com.cy?
Yes. Registration is required to be able to use the services found on orderfood.com.cy. By registering with orderfood.com.cy we are able to better serve you. Through your registration we are able to contact you for any issues that may arise or to inform you for any offers that may be of your interest. In addition, we are able to verify your mobile phone number which can be used by restaurant owners to contact you if there are any questions about the order you place with them. It also allows us to improve your experience in our site as you can see your orders, edit your account information and create a list of your favorite restaurants.


2.2 How soon can I start using orderfood.com.cy services after I register?
You can start using the services of orderfood.com.cy as soon as your registration process is completed.

2.3 Is there a membership fee for using the services found on orderfood.com.cy?
No. There is no membership fee for using the services found on orderfood.com.cy.

2.4 How do I become a member?
Click the sign up button on the top right on the home page. This will take you to the sign-up page. Fill the form to get your registration code. You need to enter your mobile phone number to be able to get the registration code. Only 8 digit mobile numbers that start with a 9 are accepted.

3 PLACING AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY

3.1 How do I search for restaurants that deliver to my area?
In order to get the maximum results, you need to be on the home page and use the Search By Delivery Area section. You first select the district and then you select the area where you want the delivery to be made. If the area is listed on the drop-down menu, you can select it and click submit to see the restaurants that may deliver to your area.

3.2 Why is my area not listed on the delivery areas?
The current list of restaurants found on our site covers certain areas for delivery. If your area is not in this list, then it is not covered at this point. You can still search for restaurants for pickup orders or to book a table. As we add more restaurants to our website, a wider range of areas will be covered.

3.3 The restaurant refused to deliver on my address even though my area is listed on the areas that the restaurant delivers. There may be cases where the restaurant does not cover the whole area that is listed on its delivery areas. This could happen because the area where you live is a very large area. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

3.4 My delivery order is late or never arrived. Who do I contact?
You should contact the restaurant directly to ask for explanation why the order is late. Orderfood.com.cy only forwards the order to the restaurant and has no control over the preparation and the delivery of the order. In case the restaurant fails to respond, please send us an email at info@orderfood.com.cy informing us about the incident so we can further investigate. Please note that it may take us up to two business days to respond to your email.

3.5 Can I adjust the time that I want for delivery?
Yes you can. You have the option to select ASAP which means that your food will be prepared as soon as possible by the restaurant. The other option is to designate a specific time that you want your order to be ready for delivery. By having this option, you can pre-order from the restaurant well ahead of time instead of waiting at the last moment.

4 PLACING AN ORDER FOR PICKUP

4.1 How do I search for a pickup restaurant in my area?
In order to get the maximum results, you need to be on the home page and use the Search By Restaurant Area section. After you select your area, you can select the area and/or restaurant cuisine you like to further filter your results. Only the district is a required field. After you click the search button, the results come up which show all the restaurants found on the district/area you designated. On the left of the results page, there is a section that allows you to filter results. Click the pickup checkbox. By clicking the pickup checkbox, you are further filtering the results and you are now able to see all the restaurants found on the specific area and that allow pickup.

4.2 Can I adjust the time that I want for pickup?

5 QUESTIONS, AFTER YOU PLACE AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY OR PICKUP.

5.1 Where do I find the telephone number of the restaurants on Orderfood.com.cy?
Once the restaurant confirms your order, we will send you an SMS that will include the telephone number of the restaurant that you placed the order with. The SMS will be sent to the mobile associated with your account.

5.2 I want to make changes to my order. What should I do?
Any changes that are needed to your order should be addressed directly to the restaurant that you placed the order with. Please contact the restaurant ASAP to request changes to your order. It will be up to the restaurant to accept any changes.

5.3 Do I need to mention the order number for delivery or pickup order?
The restaurant may need to confirm your order, therefore you should always keep your order number along with the SMS response from the restaurant.

5.4 I did not receive a confirmation from the restaurant. What do I do?
Depending on how busy the restaurant is it may take up to 10 minutes for the restaurant to respond. You don’t need to wait on your computer to receive the restaurant’s response as we will send you an SMS with their response to the mobile phone associated with your account. If more than 10 minutes pass, then it's possible that the restaurant did not respond or that there are system issues and the order never arrived to the restaurant. On such rare occasions, it would be best to resend the order or to report this issue to us at info@orderfood.com.cy.

5.5 Can I cancel an order?
You need to contact the restaurant ASAP to explain the reasons you need to cancel your order. It will be up to the restaurant to accept your cancellation.

5.6 My order is wrong. Who should I contact?
You should contact the restaurant directly to inform them about the mistake. If you feel that the restaurant did not adequately address your concerns, please inform us by sending us an email at info@orderfood.com.cy.

5.7 I have a complaint about my order. Who should I contact?
You should contact the restaurant directly to inform them about your complaint. If you feel that the restaurant did not adequately address your concerns, please inform us by sending us an email at info@orderfood.com.cy.

6 PAYING FOR YOUR FOOD AND APPLICABLE DISCOUNTS

6.1 Who do I pay for the order placed via orderfood.com.cy?

You will pay the restaurant directly when you receive your order. Orderfood.com.cy does not accept any payments at the moment for restaurant orders.

6.2 I have a discount coupon. Can I combine it with the discount offered through your website?

It is up to the restaurant to allow you to combine a discount coupon with the discount offered through our website. In most cases, discounts cannot be combined. Please make sure that you contact the restaurant as soon as possible to check if they accept to combine the discount.

6.3 My credit card company says that I get a discount from one of your restaurants. Can I combine the credit card discount with the discount offered through your website?

It is up to the restaurant to allow you to combine a credit card discount with the discount offered through our website. In most cases, discounts cannot be combined. Please make sure that you contact the restaurant as soon as possible to check if they accept to combine the discount offered through our site and the credit card discount.

6.4 My credit card company says that I get a discount from one of your restaurants if I pay with the specific credit card. Since no other discount is offered from this restaurant via your website, would I get the credit card discount if I ordered from your site?
The restaurant should apply the discount if you pay with the credit card that the restaurant agreed to give discount to its customers. Please make sure that you contact the restaurant ahead of time to inform them about the discount you expect to get due to paying with the specific credit card. If the discount is not applied, then you should contact the restaurant for explanation or contact your credit card company to report the incident.

7 BOOKING A TABLE

7.1 I want to book a table. How do I find restaurants that accept reservations?
In order to get the maximum results, you need to be on the home page and use the Search By Restaurant Area section. After you select your district, you can select the area and/or restaurant cuisine you like to further filter your results. Only the district is a required field. After you click the search button, the results come up which show all the restaurants found on the district/area you designated. On the left of the results page, there is a section that allows you to filter results. Click the Book a Table checkbox. By clicking the Book a Table checkbox, you are further filtering the results and you are now able to see all the restaurants found on the specific area that allow you to Book a Table.

7.2 How do I know that the booking request I made has been accepted?
If the booking has been accepted or rejected, you will receive a message on the screen displaying the response from the restaurant and you will also receive an SMS message on the mobile phone you entered during the booking which will provide you with the restaurant phone number in the case the reservation has been accepted.

7.3 My booking has been accepted, but I need to make changes. Who do I contact?

For any changes that need to be made on an existing reservation, you will need to contact the restaurant directly. The phone number of the restaurant can be found on the confirmation message that you receive every time the restaurant confirms the reservation request.

7.4 Do I need to mention the booking number when I arrive to the restaurant?
The restaurant may need to confirm your booking, so always have with you the booking number along with the SMS response from the restaurant.

8 ACCOUNT QUESTIONS

8.1 Why I cannot change the telephone number in my account?
For security reasons, each account is associated with only one telephone number which has gone through our verification process during the creation of a new account.

8.2 I have a new mobile number that I want to use for the orders via orderfood.com.cy. What do I need to do?
With your new phone number you can create a new account by going through our registration process. This would mean that your order history that is associated with the current phone number will not be available. The other option is to send an email to info@orderfood.com.cy requesting to have a new mobile phone number associated with the current account. After the verification process is completed, the new mobile phone number will replace your existing phone number.

8.3 Do I need to enter a new address to my account if I want my order to be delivered to another address from the one shown on my account?
The address in your account is used only if there is a need to contact you. You can enter the specific address that you want the restaurant to deliver your order as long as that area is covered by the restaurant you selected.

9.2 How long before I hear back from you after I send you a message?
We try to respond within 2 business days of your message, but there are cases, such as a complaint about an order, in which a more thorough investigation is required, so it could take us up to a week to respond.
